cooperation (uncountable)
Actually, cooperation is what just happened tonight, between an Engineer (me) and a Musician (my brother), where the Pan-Tompkins Algorithm for QRS detection - to the common mortals, it’s used to detect heartbeats in an ECG - is now being used to produce music with a Wiimote.
Truly, this is what fascinates me in engineering and algorithms: no matter what the subject is, if we can transform it in something we already know, if we can adapt identify what the real problem is - and 90% of the time someone has already solved that problem - then it becomes trivial and we can use an algorithm that, most probably, someone else created for something fantastically different.
